Final Design Board and Outcome Of My White Peplum Shirt

This Board has my chosen FINAL design on it which I have made in white cotton. In the bottom left hand corner is my Spec drawings of the Front and back of my garment. On this illustration I have used different Medias such as acrylic, watercolour, masking tape, gouache and fine liner to layer, create texture and movement. To illustrate the print on the front of the shirt I used folded up bits of masking tape and painted over it to create a 3D effect.

This is the final outcome of my white peplum shirt. It is inspired by the sixties and Modern day sixties inspired fashion. I took different prints from the sixties and made my own using a screen print. On the chest area I have used the technique thread pulling, taking out threads with a needle by hand to create the print. On the back of the shirt I have used a media called puff binder which becomes 3D and puffs up when heated using my screen print. I added cut outs, a peplum and a high neck for a modern twist.
